ODOT urges public to avoid travel Wednesday – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio
MIAMI VALLEY — The Ohio Department of Transportation is urging the public to avoid travel on Wednesday as winter storms are expected to hit the state.
“Wednesday morning commute will be very difficult for most people in Ohio. Plan ahead. If you can avoid traveling, do so,” ODOT said on social media. A post on said.

ODOT spokesman Matt Bruning said much of their crew was planning to depart on Tuesday night.
Our crew will hit the road later tonight at several locations.The ODOT communications team has already conducted 24 interviews before the storm. There are 18 more scheduled tomorrow. A winter storm will bring snow and rain to the Miami Valley after midnight Tuesday.

According to McCall Vrydaghs, principal meteorologist at Storm Center 7, precipitation will arrive around 2 a.m. or later and begin as a temporary mixture before quickly turning to snow.
Some areas could get 4 to 7 inches of snow on Wednesday.
Cities such as Trotwood and Inglewood are asking residents not to park on the streets.
