The Humixx car mount is a satisfying, inexpensive iPhone car mount clamp with beneficial design features that set it apart from its cheaper peers.
Out of the box, the Humixx mount comes with four parts: the phone holder itself, the suction mount, the dashboard pad, and the vent clip. The phone holder can be attached to both the vent clip and the suction mount.
For the suction mount installation, I put the dashboard pad on and let it sit for the recommended 3 days. I then put the suction mount on top and secured it in place.
The vent clip has a simple knob to adjust the tightness and will work with most vertical and horizontal car vents.

A month of regular operation proved the Humixx’s short-term reliability. The phone holder itself has a one-touch quick-release button and balances both types of mounts offered. The clamp arm and adjustable legs allow you to use most modern phones.
Unlike previous sucker mount glitches, we found that using the dashboard pad in combination with the mount significantly improved stability. And so far, we have yet to see a mount hit the floor in wild New England temperatures fluctuating day and night.
Both mounts have excellent adjustability. Both share the holder’s ball joint. The suction mount has a telescoping arm and an angle adjustment knob.
So far, Humixx car mounts seem to have longer life and versatility compared to cheaper options. However, when MagSafe phone holders become available at similar prices, iPhone users will be able to make more money with other alternatives without having to glue the mount to their dashboard.
That is, it contains glue. When it’s time to move the car, whoever gets the next car will get this nice mounting plate. It remains to be seen if that will be a plus for the next buyer.
For regular consumers who need a reliable manual mount for everyday driving, this is a reliable option if you are willing to use a clamp-style mount for the long term. It’s been on the market for years, making it the clearest choice for enthusiasts in the Apple ecosystem.
The Humixx Car Mount is available from Amazon for $35.99 or directly from Humixx for $29.99.
But its pricing is part of the problem for iPhone users these days. If you have a MagSafe compatible mount, you can use it without charging for about the same price as this mount.
