Houston, TX (KTRK) — Eyewitness news tracks movement of a storm front with street flooding and possible tornado activity in southeastern Texas on Tuesday afternoon.

Scene after scene of dangerous driving conditions, partially collapsed buildings and, on one occasion, outdoor fixtures destroyed by projectile-like tree branches.

If you manage to capture or record eye-catching images during what is called a historic weather event, you can send the media to. abc13.com/share.

trampoline and tree branch

We were already aware of the possibility of outdoor objects flying, but the scene shot by Jess Torres certainly has the potential to surprise viewers.

Torres’ backyard trampoline was suddenly damaged when a tree branch fell during a storm.

The footage, which you can see in the video player above, was filmed near Wayside and Leigh in northeast Houston.

First Signs of Damage Maker Coming

There were certainly warning signs about what would happen to those close to Houston.

Indeed, ABC13 reporter Derrick Lewis spotted the scene late Tuesday morning, but the damage at Eagle Lake, about an hour and a half west of the city, could not be ignored.

A tree was uprooted in the front yard.

Landlord Tony said he heard a loud noise while watching TV with his wife in the living room. That’s when he saw a fallen tree and realized that part of it had fallen onto the main road where his house was.

“When I saw it, I wished nothing else had fallen on the house,” said Tony.

There was at least one other tree standing upright in Tony’s front yard, and he said the situation could have been much worse had either tree fallen backwards.
